Export control advisory

Engineering meets compliance.
Export control, handled end to end.

Whether you’re developing cutting-edge aerospace components, advanced software or dual-use technologies, export control shouldn’t slow your growth. We make compliance straightforward — so you can focus on expansion.

The approach

A method, not a memo.

Four phases that turn export control from a recurring fire-drill into a quiet, documented routine.

01

Map

Products, flows, customers and counterparties — we map exactly what crosses which border.

02

Classify

Each item gets a defensible classification and a paper trail to match.

03

Control

Screening, licences and approval gates wired into how you already work.

04

Evidence

Records, training and reviews so any audit is a formality, not a crisis.

In their words

What clients say about us.

The European Space Agency manages or contributes to many international space programs and is permanently using very high level of technologies, controlled for export. Pierre Borie as the Trade Compliance Director in Thales Alenia Space has strongly contributed to put in place and verify the compliance of all export regulations in the programs where his company was involved with ESA.
Claes Hansen
Trade Compliance Director, ESA
Pierre Borie convinced us from the first contact with a few questions, which made it possible to diagnose the gaps and make us aware of the construction of a project which should last 18 months. Thanks to his listening and his pedagogy, session after session, we have appropriated all actions, processes and organizations in a sustainable way.
Jean Muller
Director Supply Chain, Constellium
We engaged Pierre to review our export compliance procedures. His sharp expertise and hands-on experience allowed us to clearly identify areas for improvement and implement a structured action plan. His support during our interactions with Swiss regulatory authorities was particularly valuable. Thanks to him, we have strengthened our compliance stability and gained greater confidence in facing international regulations.

Common questions

Before you book.

We’re an SME — is export control really our problem?
If your product, software or technology could have a military or dual-use application, yes — and company size is no defence in an enforcement action. Most of our clients are SMEs who’d rather get it right early than retrofit it under pressure.
Do you cover both EU and US regimes?
Yes. We work across EU dual-use regulation (2021/821) and US controls (EAR, and ITAR coordination), which is where most cross-border products actually sit.
What happens on the first call?
Thirty minutes, no charge, no slides. You describe what you make and where it goes; we tell you plainly where your exposure is and what a sensible first step looks like.
Can you work as our outsourced compliance function?
For many smaller teams, yes — on a retained basis we act as the export-control desk you don’t yet have headcount for, while building toward the day you bring it in-house.
